Warsaw Airport

I was in transit through Warsaw airport. Unfortunately, my flight incoming flight was delayed and by the time I landed, the boarding for my connecting had already begun. I literally ran towards passport control and was thankful that the queue ahead of me was just 3 persons long. I rushed through the immigration and security and was the last person to board the flight. I had barely settled in my seat when the plane started taxiing towards the runway. I was certain that due to such less transit time, my baggage would definitely get left behind and I would have to go through the anxious wait of a few days to see my beloved old suitcase containing some souvenirs of my latest travel. I resigned myself to my fate and proceeded to enjoy the refreshments, dinner and thereafter a much needed nap. When I landed at my destination, I proceeded straight to the lost baggage counter and gave them details of my suitcase and asked when it would it be delivered to me. The lady spoke into her phone quite long and motioned me to wait while she gestured another person off in a different direction. My patience was running thin and I made no secret of it. The lady smiled and gestured me to turn around. There walking towards me was an executive carrying my beloved suitcase!! I thanked the staff profusely and wanted to know how they had managed to get my suitcase onboard in less than 20 minutes. ‘That is our job Sir… have a nice day’ was the answer I got. That is my brief but excellent experience of Warsaw airport and their dedicated groundstaff 🙂
