There are some shipping companies providing health insurance to sailors and their families even when they are off duty. We make request to all ship-owners and managers to provide health benefit to all crewmembers whether the are on duty or on vacation.
There will be an additional outgoing expenses for ship-owners & managers if they provide health insurance for crew when they are on leave.
